salata s guacamole umakom

što/
moja najdraža večera!

pola glavice salate
šaka listova mladog špinata
1 rajčica
1 krastavac

1 manji avokado
1-2 režnja češnjaka
sok 1/3 limuna
malo crnog papra
malo sušene slatke crvene paprike
malo himalajske soli ili naribanog svježeg korijena celera

kako/
Povrće -- Salatu, rajčicu, špinat i krastavac operite, narežite i stavite u zdjelu. Pola avokada narežite na kockice i dodajte u zdjelu.
Guacamole -- Narežite drugu polovicu avokada na kockice i stavite u drugu posudu. Dodajte narezani češnjak, limunov sok, papar, papriku i celer ili himalajsku sol. Miksajte štapnim mikserom dok ne dobijete homogenu smjesu (ili samo zgnječite vilicom ako vam je tako draže).
Dodajte umak u salatu i pomiješajte.

što ako/
Budući da je avokado dosta mastan, nekome je možda previše pojesti cijeli avokado u jednom obroku (pa čak i u jednom danu). Ja jednostavno jako, jako volim avokado. Jednostavno prilagodite količinu svom ukusu. Avokado nije najsretnije voće za čuvati polovicu u frižideru jer brzo oksidra. Ako mi nekada ostane višak avokada, napravim guacamole s puno limunovog soka (sprječava oksidaciju) i spremim ga u malu staklenku do sutra.

i još/
Ovoj salati možete dodati i bučine sjemenke - osim što su jako zdrave, predivno pašu uz guacamole.




nadopisak/
Moram priznati da nakon 4 mjeseca života u kraljevstvu avokada svih boja, veličina i oblika (ono kad ne slaviš svaki avokado ko da ti je prvi i zadnji jer si ga platio 12 kuna), koliko god obožavam avokado, više nema šanse da pojedem srednje veliki - veliki avokado odjednom, nema šanse. Evo ovo je postao moj normalni avokado (slika 3). Četvrtina velikog. Taman!

vegetable salad with guacamole dip

what/
my favourite dinner!

half a lettuce
a handful of young spinach leaves
1 tomato
1 cucumber

1 smaller avocado
1-2 garlic cloves
juice of 1/3 lemon
a bit of ground black pepper
a bit of ground red sweet pepper
a bit of pink Himalayan salt or grated fresh celery root

how/
Vegetables -- Wash and slice the salad, spinach, tomato and cucumber and put them in a bowl. Slice one half  of an avocado on small cubes and add it to the vegetables.
Guacamole -- Cut the other half of the avocado in pieces and put it in another bowl. Add sliced garlic cloves, lemon, black pepper, red pepper and celery or Himalayan salt. Grind with a stick mixer until the texture is smooth (or just mix it well with a fork if you prefer it that way).
Add the dip to the vegetables and mix.

what if/
I just love avocado so much. But for someone it might be too much to eat a whole avocado, since it is pretty oily. Just adjust the amount to your preference. Keeping an avocado half in the fridge can be tricky because it goes brown very easily. If I have half of an avocado left, I make a guacamole with a lot of lemon juice (to prevent oxidation) and keep it in a small jar in the fridge until tomorrow.

also/
You can add some pumpkin seeds to this salad - besides being very healthy, they go lovely with the taste of guacamole.

update/
Now after 4 months of life in kingdom of avocados of all colours, shapes and sizes (when you don't have to celebrate each avocado you buy as if it was a piece of gold because it is so expensive and a good one is pretty rare), although i still love avocado sooo much, I have to admit that there is no way on earth I could eat a whole moderate-sized or bigger avocado just like that. Rather a really small one (picture 3), 1/4 size of a big one, just perfect!
