tofu salata



Ok, nije baš skroz salata, nego sezonsko zelenje (koje nisam niti začinila jer i dalje volim "dosadnu" hranu, al slobodno zalijete s malo aceta), dragoljub iz maminog vrta i tofu u slatkom tamari umaku. Nešto najfinije na svijetu.

što/
(za 2 porcije)
200 g polutvrdog tofua
2 jušne žlice kukuruznog škroba
2 jušne žlice tamarija
2 jušne žlice sirupa od datulja
1 mali prstohvat mljevenog chillija
1 jušna žlica vode
1 jušna žlica kokosovog ulja
3-4 šake mladog lisnatog povrća po izboru



kako/
Narežite tofu na kockice. Uvaljajte ga u kukuruzni škrob i ubacite u tavu na kojoj ste zagrijali malo kokosovog ulja. Pomiješajte tamari, sirup od datulja, chilli i vodu. Pecite kockice tofua na srednjoj vatri dok se lagano ne zapeku sa svih strana, pa ulijte umak u tavu i nastavite kuhati još kratko, da se tekućina reducira. Šećer iz datuljinog sirupa će lagano karamelizirati, pa pazite da ne zagori. Maknite s vatre i poslužite uz svježe zeleno lisnato povrće.

sweet tamari glazed tofu bowl

what/
(for two portions)
200 g semi-firm tofu
2 tbsp corn starch
2 tbsp tamari
2 tbsp date syrup
1 small pinch ground chilli
1 tbsp water
1 tbsp coconut oil
3-4 handfuls fresh leafy greens of choice

how/
Cut the tofu into cubes and dust with corn starch. Mix tamari, date syrup, chilli and water in a blowl. Heat some coconut oil on a non-stick pan and fry the tofu cubes until they get a bit crunchy from all sides. Pour the sweet tamari mixture into the pan with tofu and cook shortly, until most of the liquid reduces. Date syrup will soon start to caramelise, so just be careful to avoid overcooking it. Serve the glazed tofu cubes with fresh seasonal greens.
