klijanje vol.2

I already wrote a little bit about sprouting some four years ago in this short post, but since there are more ways you can get your seeds to sprout, I thought it could be useful to share another way to do it - maybe someone will find it easier or more useful. I recently sprouted some broccoli seeds, and here is how I did it:

Spread a muslin cloth over a plate. Spread the seeds evenly over its surface and spray with water to make the cloth damp. Leave the plate away from direct sunlight and continue spraying 3 times a day for the next 4-5 days (it can take more or less than this depending on temperature, plant species and some other factors). When the sprouts are around 5 cm long, you can separate them from the cloth and they are ready for consumption. If you prefer not having to pull the sprouts out from the cloth, you can also leave the cloth out from the whole process and just have the seeds sprout on a plate. It will be a bit more tricky to keep them prefectly damp (they should not be too wet and should definitely not be left dry), but it is still absolutely doable. However you decide to pull it out, good luck!
