zeleni smoothie

1 i 1/2 banane*

kako/
Stavite sve u blender i zummmm. Dobar tek!

green smoothie

I've been making this smoothie for years and I still can't get tired of it. I mean, I do periodically get bored with it and forget about it for a month or two, but I eventually get back to it every time. I like it because it keeps me full for a decent amount of time, unlike smoothies that contain only fruits (although blueberry and banana smoothie is probably one of my favourite tasting things in the world), so it can serve as a fulfilling breakfast. It is also really tasty and I accidentally converted so many people to the green smoothie team with this very smoothie. I just need to say once again, for the hundred and fifth time, that you won't feel full from a smoothie, or even good after drinking it, if you just drink it as if you were drinking water. As much as it may seem odd or silly to some, smoothies will be fulfilling and good for you if you lightly chew on them, or perceive every sip as a bite and let it stay in your mouth for some time to activate the enzymes from your saliva and let your body know it should start the digestion. If you cannot do that, then it is better to assemble something like a popular Insta-foodie thing called smoothie bowl - just pour a smoothie into a bowl and add some chewable ingredients such as chopped fruits, seeds, pieces of coconut or homemade granola. That way your body will know that it is actually eating, and be able to properly digest the meal - keeping you satiated and nourished with all those nutrients.

what/
1+1/2 bananas*
3 large handfuls spinach
1 tsp spirulina
2 tbsp hulled hemp seeds
1 tbsp coconut sugar or 2-3 medjool dates
1 cup oat milk

*I often use frozen bananas because I find it convenient to buy more at once and put them in the freezer when they are ripe (when they have a decent amount of brown dots all over). My blender heats the mixture because of its strong engine, so I also prefer having something cold to prevent my smoothie from turning into a soup.

how/
Put everything in a blender, bzzzzz, bon appétit!
